Product warranty


San Marcos Iron Doors carries an in-home warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for up to 5 Years starting at the date of install. The coverage for our finish is 2 years. Repair or replacement will be at no cost to the homeowner however, depending on the distance there may be a trip charge. This will be determined at the time of warranty request approval. Coverage for glass is 1 year against defects. [Broken glass is not under warranty]

This 5 Year limited warranty applies only to installations within a thirty mile radius of any of our stores. Out- side of this area, repairs will still be made at no charge during the first 2 Years of ownership, however travel time will be subject to charges.

All mechanisms or products purchased or used for your order that are not fabricated by us are only subject to the warranty of the manufacture or resale merchant. In their warranty time frame or 1 year from install date a technician will be sent to the property. After the 3rd party warranty has expired you must purchase a replacement and it will be sent to you via ground shipping. I. Exclusions

Damages or problems resulting from an outside source, not as a direct result of San Marcos Iron Doors fabrication or installation, are excluded from coverage under the Limited Warranty.

Such causes include, without limitation:

  • Misuse, abuse, modification, alteration, accident, negligence, vandalism.

  • Failure to follow San Marcos Iron Doors’ care and maintenance instructions.

  • Normal wear and tear; normal discolouration or fading finishes.

  • Natural disasters or theft. In this event please contact your insurance company, then San Marcos Iron Doors, as we always want to serve our clients in their time of need.

  • Doors that have been removed, modified, re installed, painted and/or damaged by any one other than San Marcos Iron Doors authorized representative or technician.


II. Transfer of Warranty

Assuming the proper care and maintenance has been kept up, the remaining of the 5 Year limited war- ranty will remain in effect for the new owner, however, this transferred warranty only covers the cost of replacement materials, and does not cover travel to and from the home, de-installation and re-installa- tion, and required shop-labor. To transfer the policy correctly please send correspondence to the email purchase and clear pictures of the door inside and out.

This warranty is in lieu of all other obligations, liabilities or warranties, implied or expressed. In no event shall San Marcos Iron Doors be liable or responsible, for indirect damage, loss, cost or expense. San Marcos Iron Doors reserves the right to review and request any information and or evidence to
be able to make a fair and proper decision of warranty request. In addition, we also have the right to determine status on a warranty request that may not be specifically outlined in this warranty based on incident. Lastly we reserve the right to cancel your warranty for non-payment without notice.


IV. Ship outs of products/ pick ups

Is not included if product is shipped out or pick up the product has no warranty. The only thing that would be covered is a glass defect and customer will cover cost of shipping out product  "does not include broken glass If glass is broken an additional charge will be required to reorder and ship out" 


V. House Shift Warranty

Our House Shift Warranty provides added peace of mind for homeowners. Over time, normal settling or foundation movement can cause doors to become slightly misaligned or require minor adjustments. While this is a natural part of home settling and not considered a defect in the product or installation, our House Shift Warranty covers one complimentary alignment adjustment if this occurs.

This coverage applies only to doors originally installed by San Marcos Iron Doors. The warranty includes labor for alignment adjustments related to normal foundation movement. It does not cover damage caused by structural issues, flooding, impact, or improper use or maintenance.

If you did not purchase the House Shift Warranty at the time of installation, adjustments due to house shifting can still be scheduled as a standard paid service call.

**Warranty only valid upon full payment of all invoice(s). This applies to all customers: that have multiple items/projects at the same location and applies to all Customers/Builders that have multiple projects under their company name, address etc.
If discount is applied to final balance warranty will be automatically voided.
